The National Assembly on Tuesday decided to completely root out the practice of butchering dogs for consumption by passing a special bill that punishes such activities.

Two dog farm owners on Wednesday filed complaints with police in Chon Buri province against a doctor in Banglamung district, alleging that he assaulted dogs and tried to discredit their businesses.
